Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. Miley is the youngest of five brothers and sisters, two of whom are older and a younger sister. The Miley's parents chose her in hopes they would have her succeed. Miley was her nickname in childhood due to the cheerfulness of Miley. Ron Cyrus was her grandfather. Cyrus began her education with Heritage Elementary School. Cyrus, along with her parents, relocated to Toronto Canada around 2001, after she was 8. Their father Billy Ray played a character on the TV show Doc. Cyrus decided to start acting around that time. Her first role came alongside her father as Doc Doc (2001). Her first appearance was as her dad in Doc (2001). Cyrus was cast in 2005 as the main character of the Disney TV series Hannah Montana, which is about a teenager who lives an ambiguous life. Her father also starred alongside her. It became an instant success that soon sold out tours were announced as well as the signing of merchandising contracts. Cyrus was a teenage superstar. Following the success of Hannah Montana (2006), Cyrus moved into different roles. She was the role of Ronnie Miller in The Last Song (2010) and Lola as Lola in LOL (2012) with Demi Moore.
